Music. Theatre. Community.

About Us

Our Mission

Our mission is to engage and inspire young people through music and theatre.  We strive to create a safe space for children to explore their feelings and discover themselves.  We believe that the arts are critical to a child’s development and help to nurture their innate sense of wonder and curiosity about the world.   We believe in the equal value of the starring role and the supporting player. We encourage self-confidence and humility, leadership and compromise, and a sense of responsibility to the greater good. Our goals are to deepen empathy, model tolerance, and highlight the importance of discipline and hard work. Wildarts invites families to come together under our roof and build a community as our children grow, laugh and thrive through the arts.

About us

Sarah and Cody Henderson have been working with kids for over 20 years.  Cody, as a playwright, actor, composer, musician and teacher. Sarah, as an actor, health educator, teacher and director. Parents of two girls, Cody and Sarah are excited to create theatre, make music and build a community of families who can call Wildarts their creative home.

Sarah Henderson

Sarah holds a BFA in Theatre from Syracuse University.  She has worked professionally as an actor in both New York and Los Angeles.  For seven years, she performed as a puppeteer and actor for Kaiser Permanente’s Educational Theatre, providing education in literacy, conflict management, and nutrition to children in elementary schools across Southern California.  It was during her time at Kaiser that she discovered the magic at the intersection between theatre and education. She has directed many shows for children and helped to create Theatre Camp for Central California’s “Children’s Art Studio,” alongside Cody, in which young people help to write and develop an original play. Sarah also works as a Postpartum Doula, bringing support to families as they welcome newborns.
